How prevalent is alchhol use in adolescense

  • There is a high prevalence of underage drinking in the United States as can be seen in figure and there is a 15% prevalence of alcohol use in 16 -- 17-year-old adolescents with 10% of these having binge drinking and 5% heavy drinking. Alcohol use increases up to age 21 -- 25.
