Is the test reliable?

(4 of 5)

  • In early testing, the YFAS exhibited adequate internal reliability, good convergent validity with other measures of disordered eating, as well as goo discriminate validity relative to related yet dissimilar conditions such as alcohol consumption and impulsivity.

    • A recent study has shown a link between YFAS scores and mood disorders among obese patients with binge eating disorder.
    • The YFAS has also been shown to be a good predictor of the frequency of binge eating episodes in this patient population.
